Well it seems someone turned on the spigot and its dumping every where.
What was once so simple has turned evil. It’s Our world, it’s crumbling beneath our feet.
Riots, Sexual assault and Human trafficking allegations of very powerful people, Vaping Death Pandemic, Russian Scandal, FBI Scandal, Hillary Clinton Emails, Rigged Elections, only to be interrupted by China’s creation and use of COVID19 Biological Warfare on protestors.
Another mistake, China’s lab leaking, it was a bat? Really, when will the lies stop. This was to control people who were not complying with China’s communist President Xi Jinping plan and protesting peacefully until he sent the gas, water cannons and firing upon the citizens of China. Soon after the people fell ill.
The USA has been interrupted with corruption on the hill like no other time in history. JFK was nothing. They took him out quickly.
Ok so how did COVID19 get to America and Spread in certain cities with different strains?
What are the chemtrails really being used for? Stop and look around you. Trees and plants are rotting, rivers are rising and dams are breaking. From the coldness of some parts of the world to hottest melting glaciers are creating many dangers to come.
This is the slow death of America on steroids. Many other countries have been devastated by Covid19 at the height of a great 2nd year for the economy.
It’s funny how the movies have portrayed all of this, before its time!!!
Watching the sheep follow the lions down the dangerous slope.
We really need to take a stand against the regime taking control of our country. Call all the Little CRA CRA Birdies Crazy, but as your bank accounts shrink to zero who will feed your family now?
That tiny $1200 stimulus check was gone an hour after you got it. Now What?
Its not the COVID-19 virus thats the scary part. It’s how brainwashed and easily manipulated the masses of people have become.
You no longer care if what they say is correct. All you see is what they want you to see. It the movies greatest moments being shown right now.
Did you notice the Harvey Weinstein trial take place and his sentencing? No News was too busy showing Covid-19.
Did you happen to notice that another top aide to Hillary Clinton was suspciousy killed? No News was too busy showing Covid-19.
Now some states will be required to vote online or through the mail ONLY. No News was too busy showing Covid-19.
10 of the “Richest” People in the world just made a ton of money off the stock market. They are the true crooks with buy outs and Congress in their pockets.
COVID-19 was created for and by the secret society that you continue to feed by electing the same people into congress.
Congress gave themselves a $36,000 bonus check when we got our $1200 check.
If I was Bernie Sanders I would be really pissed off right now. He was just forced to close the Democratic Debate. Bernie would have won by a land slide over Biden.
Wasn’t that convient how COVID-19 broke the world into silence with fear and forced President Trump to CLOSE Everything. President Trump was very hesitant to come to the decesion without any proof that this was not just the flu. He did not want to see the American Economy go into the dumps. America was finally doing good again.
This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to all we have missed for the past 2 months.

This novel virus spread worldwide and had caused 18,500 laboratory-confirmed deaths with an estimated 151,700 to 575,400 deaths total by August of 2010. On 10 August 2010, the World Health Organization declared the H1N1 influenza pandemic over, saying worldwide flu activity had returned to typical seasonal patterns.
The (H1N1)pdm09 virus was very different from H1N1 viruses that were circulating at the time of the pandemic. Few young people had any existing immunity (as detected by antibody response) to the (H1N1)pdm09 virus, but nearly one-third of people over 60 years old had antibodies against this virus, likely from exposure to an older H1N1 virus earlier in their lives. Since the (H1N1)pdm09 virus was very different from circulating H1N1 viruses, vaccination with seasonal flu vaccines offered little cross-protection against (H1N1)pdm09 virus infection. While a monovalent (H1N1)pdm09 vaccine was produced, it was not available in large quantities until late November—after the peak of illness during the second wave had come and gone in the United States. From April 12, 2009 to April 10, 2010, CDC estimated there were 60.8 million cases (range: 43.3-89.3 million), 274,304 hospitalizations (range: 195,086-402,719), and 12,469 deaths (range: 8868-18,306) in the United States due to the (H1N1)pdm09 virus.
Additionally, CDC estimated that 151,700-575,400 people worldwide died from (H1N1)pdm09 virus infection during the first year the virus circulated.** Globally, 80 percent of (H1N1)pdm09 virus-related deaths were estimated to have occurred in people younger than 65 years of age. This differs greatly from typical seasonal influenza epidemics, during which about 70 percent to 90 percent of deaths are estimated to occur in people 65 years and older.
Though the 2009 flu pandemic primarily affected children and young and middle-aged adults, the impact of the (H1N1)pdm09 virus on the global population during the first year was less severe than that of previous pandemics. Estimates of pandemic influenza mortality ranged from 0.03 percent of the world’s population during the 1968 H3N2 pandemic to 1 percent to 3 percent of the world’s population during the 1918 H1N1 pandemic. It is estimated that 0.001 percent to 0.007 percent of the world’s population died of respiratory complications associated with (H1N1)pdm09 virus infection during the first 12 months the virus circulated.
Swine influenza (also known as swine flu or pig flu) is a respiratory disease that occurs in pigs that is caused by the Influenza A virus. Influenza viruses that are normally found in swine are known as swine influenza viruses (SIVs). The known SIV strains include influenza C and the subtypes of influenza A known as H1N1, H1N2, H3N1, H3N2 and H2N3. Pigs can also become infected with the H4N6 and H9N2 subtypes.
Swine influenza virus is common throughout pig populations worldwide. Transmission of the virus from pigs to humans is not common and does not always lead to human influenza, often resulting only in the production of antibodies in the blood. If transmission does cause human influenza, it is called zoonotic swine flu or a variant virus. People with regular exposure to pigs are at increased risk of swine flu infection. The meat of an infected animal poses no risk of infection when properly cooked.
Pigs experimentally infected with the strain of swine flu that caused the human pandemic of 2009–10 showed clinical signs of flu within four days, and the virus spread to other uninfected pigs housed with the infected ones.[
The United States mounted a complex, multi-faceted and long-term response to the pandemic, summarized in The 2009 H1N1 Pandemic: Summary Highlights, April 2009-April 2010. On August 10, 2010, WHO declared an end to the global 2009 H1N1 influenza pandemic. However, (H1N1)pdm09 virus continues to circulate as a seasonal flu virus, and cause illness, hospitalization, and deaths worldwide every year.

Nikita Pearl Waligwa starred in Disney’s Queen of Katwe, passed away on Feb. 15, after a battle with brain cancer. Nakita was only 15 years old.
Nikita was first diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2016, and her Queen of Katwe family, including director Mira Nair, reportedly obtained Nikita’s treatment in India. She made a recovery in 2017, but the tumor reportedly returned in 2019.
Nikita played Gloria in Queen of Katwe, which told the true story of Phiona Mutesi (Madina Nalwanga), a chess prodigy rising from a Ugandan slum.

What to do when your medicine is in the form of CBD or THC and you vape. Good question these days with all the deaths and sickness related to these products.
Today about 1/3 of our population medicate in some way with CBD or THC. Smoking, Vaping, Chewable, Internal and External Tinctures and creams. You name it and it seems to be concocted with some type of CBD or THC.
As we have found out in the last few months it is better to roll a joint with a regular cigarette filter and smoke it. Not only is the filter collecting the tar, but it also collects any moisture and still does the job. Obvious dry smoke is much better for your lungs then moisture infused vapors.
I am not sure why vaping and e-cigarette products were able to reach the consumers. I suppose it was for the high uptick in Oil production and the CBD craze that came fast. Everyone wanted to jump on board to maximize their company profits and the FDA stood idle. It’s all about the bottom line. $$$$$$
CDC Update as of December 3, 2019… Vitamin E Acetate is the latest to get the blame for 2,500 REPORTED lung injury (EVALI) Patients. Those are only the ones that have been reported and not confused with other illnesses or poisons.
As we have seen in the past few weeks that these products are Un-Regulated for purity from harmful Metals and Toxins. Let’s not be stupid and deny how many people are actually using these products. It is in the Millions.. So don’t be fooled into thinking we don’t need to pay attention to these warnings. When so many are using these products for medical and recreational it needs to be regulated so the consumer is protected.
When e cigarettes rolled out they were found to have Radiator fluid as one of the components. Ethylene glycol, the primary ingredient in antifreeze, has the chemical formula C2H6O2. The radiator fluid used in most cars is a half-and-half mixture of water and antifreeze.
Vaping dangerous substances that are homemade in somesone’s garage… NOT A GOOD CHOICE… You have no idea what compounds they have used for manufacturing this product. You could be inhaling and killing your lungs slowly.
Are these cases to be blamed on “Home Made” recipes bought on the street? Not all. There have been different “suspect” reports of many compounds as culprits. From the manufactures having un-pure or dirty CBD crystals that have been brought in from China by the 50 gallon barrel to just recently Vitamin E Acetate. That’s right most of the CBD crystals are brought in from foreign countries. They are “NOT” regulated by the FDA either. Perhaps we need stronger regulations when it comes to importing these Medical use products. Unless they just want us all dead, something needs to be done.
Home made street drugs are contaminated with Metal toxins and harmful additives. Depending on how that Oil, Tar or Dabs was made will depend on the toxin levels. These products are usually made with Butane. This product will contain high amounts of toxins and should not be consumed by anyone.
Rarely will you find street products that are made by using Co2, which is actually a purer form of oil that is extracted from the entire plant. The whole plant is put into the machine right after harvest. There is no drying involved so all the crystals are intact and it makes a very strong potency.
So short story is… The consumer should be able to rely on the dispensaries and USA manufactures for 100% competence in their products.
Researchers have warned that Synthetic Cannabinoidscould be linked to many poisonings and deaths. Synthetic cannabinoids are a class of molecules that bind to the same receptors to which cannabinoids in cannabis plants THC and CBD attach. They are designer drugs, commonly sprayed onto plant matter and are usually smoked, although they have also been consumed in a concentrated liquid form in the US and UK since 2016. They have been marketed as herbal incense, or “herbal smoking blends” and sold under common names like K2, Spice, and Synthetic Marijuana. They are often labeled “not for human consumption” for liability defense.
A recent study found a dangerous synthetic, as well as a cough surpresent dextroomethorphan, in one manufactures CBD vaping products.
In a recent study on different products from several different manufactures shows that the potency was barely 1/4 percent of the CBD specified percentage stated on the label. So this is buyer beware…
It’s hard to know what’s in that gummi bear or bottle.
JUUL is just one of the manufacturers being hit with new regulations on e-cigarettes and vaping products.
JUUL says… There is NO Vitamin E Acetate in their product so why us? The FDA is going forward to eliminate fruity flavors that interests youth. JUUL and the other manufacturers will only have 2 flavors left Regular Tobacco and Menthol for their shoppers to choose from. The FDA feels that this will eliminate the use of tobacco related products..
This will have a financial effect for the stock market also. Due to the fact that it will be another hit on the tobacco industry. Tobacco use fell by approximately 1/3 in 2017 due to e-cigarettes and vaping.
The History of the e-cigarette is very interesting. I am not sure why the FDA and CDC did not step up when the e-cigarette was introduced in the USA in 2006 – 2007. What was George W. Bush thinking? I know for a fact that Ethylene glycol was a main ingredient in the E-cigarette when they were still coming from China in 2010. So why didn’t Barrack Obama take them off the market when they knew the E-cigarette was no good? Let’s see what Trump does now… Will this health hazard be banned for good?
This product was poised for trouble from the beginning. The formula was changed by the USA manufacturers who replaced Ethylene glycol (Antifreeze) with PROPYLENE GLYCOL AND GLYCERINE. So no testing on the lab rats for the Chinese version and USA version which has no real testing to back up the release of the e-cigarette or vaping into the USA.
In 2006 China started exporting e-cigarettes containing Ethylene glycol, the primary ingredient in antifreeze, has the chemical formula C2H6O2.
The warning about e-cigarettes containing this chemical came out in the news in 2010. That is 4 years after being on the USA market and still the US did nothing to stop this product. NO RECALL… NOTHING
So why in the world was this allowed by our country to be used as a consumer product in the first place???? Case after case has been reported about Pneumonia and other illnesses related to wet lung syndrome, ARDS.
You might as well say, “People were better off using cigarettes and just dying from cancer, at least they lived longer”.
INGREDIENTS FROM JUUL’s WEBSITE :
PROPYLENE GLYCOL AND GLYCERINE (30/60 MIX)
(UP TO 90%)
Propylene glycol and glycerine are clear liquids that are used to create a visible vapor, and are commonly used by the medical, beauty and food industries. A majority, if not all e-liquids, contain propylene glycol (PG).
Benzoic acid is a naturally occurring ingredient, found in tobacco and other substances. When combined with nicotine as part of our nicotine salts formulation, it helps provide cigarette-like satisfaction.
Nicotine is a stimulant that comes from the tobacco plant. We use highly purified/USP grade/pharmaceutical grade nicotine.
JUULpods flavors consist of both naturally occurring and artificial flavor ingredients which provide the specific taste profile for each flavor.
Propylene glycol (IUPAC name: propane-1,2-diol) is an organic compound with the chemical formula CH3CH(OH)CH2OH. It is a viscous, colorless liquid, which is nearly odorless but possesses a faintly sweet taste. Containing two alcohol groups, it is classed as a diol. It is miscible with a broad range of solvents, including water, acetone, and chloroform. In general, glycols are non-irritating, have very low volatility and very low toxicity.
It is produced on a large scale primarily for the production of polymers. In the European Union, it has the E-number E1520 for food applications. For cosmetics and pharmacology, the number is E490. Propylene glycol is also present in propylene glycol alginate, which is known as E405. Propylene glycol is a compound which is generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) under 21 CFR x184.1666 and is also approved by FDA for certain uses as an indirect food additive. Propylene glycol is approved and used as a vehicle for topical, oral and some intravenous pharmaceutical preparations in U.S. and in Europe.
Have they ever had any studies on Smoking or Vaping Propylene glycol. This product / chemical is in the same category as Acetone. I don’t think I would vape or smoke acetone. Acetone, or propanone, is the organic compound with the formula (CH3)2CO.
Acetone is a colorless, volatile, flammable liquid and is the simplest and smallest ketone.
Acetone serves as an important solvent in its own right, typically for cleaning purposes in laboratories

How can we stop the violence against children? 3.5 Million children were abused in 1 years time. No child or human should ever be abused in any way.
The Issue of Child Abuse
Every year more than 3 million reports of child abuse are made in the United States. It’s a terrible epidemic that we at Childhelp are dedicated to put an end to. To do this, we need to first increase awareness of the issue itself.
What is child abuse? Child abuse is when a parent or caregiver, whether through action or failing to act, causes injury, death, emotional harm or risk of serious harm to a child. There are many forms of child maltreatment, including neglect, physical abuse, sexual abuse, exploitation and emotional abuse.
Read through the sections below on the different types of child abuse to learn the signs. If you see these signs in anyone you know, or are a victim of child abuse, get help right away.
Physical neglect and inadequate supervision
When a parent or caregiver harms a child’s mental and social development, or causes severe emotional harm, it is considered emotional abuse
Sexual abuse occurs when an adult uses a child for sexual purposes or involves a child in sexual acts.
The Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline is dedicated to the prevention of child abuse. Serving the U.S. and Canada, the hotline is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with professional crisis counselors who—through interpreters—provide assistance in over 170 languages. The hotline offers crisis intervention, information, and referrals to thousands of emergency, social service, and support resources. All calls are confidential.
CALL 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453)
Bottom line, we are here to answer the call.
CALL 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453) then push 1 to talk to a hotline counselor. The Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The hotline counselors work with translators who speak more than 200 languages to help callers who speak a language other than English. All calls are anonymous. (The hotline counselors don’t know who you are and you don’t have to tell them.)
What You Should Know
No one has the right to abuse you.
You don’t deserve to be abused.
If you are being abused, you are a victim.
It’s not your fault that you are being treated this way.
It is wrong that you are suffering this pain, fear or sadness.
You are not alone. Other kids suffer abuse, too.
Sometimes abusers scare or threaten kids so they won’t tell.
There are people who care about you and want to help you.
If you are being abused, please tell a safe person – that’s someone you can trust like a teacher, counselor, school nurse, neighbor or parent. You can also talk to a Childhelp hotline counselor.
How to protect yourself from abuse.
Do not be alone with anyone who hurts you.
Listen to the little voice or gut feeling inside you when it says what is being done to you isn’t right.
Find an adult you trust and tell them what is happening. If they don’t believe you, keep telling other adults until someone does believe you!
The adult you speak to (perhaps a teacher or a neighbor) may want to tell the police or Child Protective Services about the person who is hurting you. If they don’t know the telephone number to call to make the report, they should call 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453) and press 1 to speak with a hotline crisis counselor. The crisis counselor will give them the best number to call in your community.
If you are too nervous or scared to tell someone you know about the abuse, but want it reported to the people who look into child abuse, call 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453), then press 1. A Childhelp hotline counselor can make a three-way call so that you, the hotline counselor, and the person taking the report in your area are all on the telephone at the same time.
Before you call to make the report, the hotline counselor can tell you what may happen after a report of abuse is made.
A lot of people don’t realize it, but every day in the United States thousands of kids are abused. That adds up to millions of kids each year. More than 3.3 million in fact.
Often children and teens are abused by the people who are closest to them like family, friends, sitters, neighbors and sometimes even teachers and coaches. These are the very people that children should feel the safest with.
You are not alone. If you need help or have questions about child abuse, call the Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline at 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453) then push 1 to talk to a counselor. The hotline counselors are available 365 days a year to help kids, and adults who are worried about kids they suspect are being abused. You can call this number if you live in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Guam or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
There WILL NOT be a charge for the call on your telephone bill if you use a regular phone or a pay phone. If you use a mobile phone or cell phone, there may be a charge and it may show up on the telephone bill. (Don’t use a mobile or cell phone if you want to be sure your call is a secret.) Do not make prank calls to the hotline. This will tie up the phones and keep us from talking to someone who really needs help right away.

Usually my husband writes the articles. But due to the fact of all the controversy over this subject he thought it would be best if the view came from a woman. So here it is.
Many viewers of the controversial Peloton holiday commercial have had some very negative malicious feedback towards the man in the Peloton ad started a fire storm online.
Everyone wanted to add their 2 cents of really negative comments. Comments suggesting that he was a womanizer to a beast that beats his wife. REALLY PEOPLE!!!!
All you paranoid “Debbie Downers” she is not abused physically nor emotionally. She likes looking great. She likes being healthy. That’s what the commercial is about. Living Healthy
What is wrong with wanting to look and feel wonderful? You can stay home and continue to force feed yourself and your family till you all tip the scales off the chain. That is your choice. But stop making it seem that this is a bad thing for women. It’s a good thing to exercise…
Didn’t your mom tell you to keep your mouth shut if you didn’t have anything nice to say about someone… Well heed to the saying… There, now you can have something new to be pissed off about… Your Welcome!!
Peloton issued a statement over the controversial ad, saying in part, “Our holiday spot was created to celebrate that fitness and wellness journey. While we’re disappointed in how some have misinterpreted this commercial, we are encouraged by — and grateful for — the outpouring of support we’ve received from those who understand what we were trying to communicate.
For over three decades, Child Lures Prevention has analyzed data on the methods child molesters use for luring children and teens into abuse and worse. Our original research, based on hundreds of interviews with convicted sex offenders and in-depth case studies, reveals 16 specific “Child Lures” — including Affection, Authority, Bribery and Games — which constitute the foundation of the Think First & Stay Safe and Teen Lures TV Newscastschool curricula.
Child molesters come from all economic backgrounds, geographic areas and include every ethnicity, race and creed. The sole characteristic all child molesters share is having thoughts about being sexual with children, and acting on those thoughts. These individuals actively seek access to children and the opportunity to be alone with them. Also, contrary to common “Stranger Danger” warnings, child molesters are rarely strangers; at least 90% of sexually abused children are exploited by someone in the child’s immediate or extended family, or by someone close to the family.
Who can be a child molester?
All genders (88% are male; 9% are female; 3% are unknown)*
All ages (including kids, teens and seniors)
All socioeconomic groups (wealthy, middle class & disadvantaged)
All races & ethnicity
What percentage of child sexual abuse is committed by family members?
Family members abuse:
49% of victims under age 6.
42% of victims ages 7-11.
24% of victims ages 12 – 17.
The younger the child, the more likely their abuser is a family member. Keep in mind that family members include parents, guardians, step-parents, siblings, step-siblings, cousins, uncles, aunts and grandparents.
Do kids and teens ever sexually abuse other children?
Yes. Based on substantiated state-by-state reports, at least 1/3rd of all childhood sexual abuse is peer-to-peer. Juveniles who commit sexual offenses are usually an older, stronger youngster. The average onset of child sexual assault behavior is 12-14 years old.
A U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Statistics report* found that 23% of all sex offenders were under the age of 18. There are two very important distinctions to make about juveniles with sexual offending behaviors:
Of children who are sexually abused, the majority DO NOT go on to become sexual offenders.
The subset of juveniles who do sexually offend other children often have histories of being victimized themselves.
Do females ever molest children?
Yes. Female offenders make up approximately 9% of all reported child sexual abuse. The most recent statistical report by the US Department of Justice found that female offenders victimized:
12% of victims under the age of 6
6% of victims ages 6 – 12
3% of victims ages 12 – 17
What is the most common lure used by child molesters?
The Affection Lure is used both offline and online to exploit unsuspecting youngsters in need of love and attention. (See Think First & Stay Safe™Parent Guide.) Most victims of abuse are befriended and “groomed” over a period of hours, days, weeks, months, or years. Child molesters have repeatedly admitted: When there’s a physically or emotionally absent parent in the picture, it makes the child more vulnerable to grooming and abuse.
How many sex offenders, including child molesters, live in the U.S.?
Currently, there are 904,011 registered sex offenders living in the United States, according to registry data from 50 states and 6 U.S. territories (May, 2018), which has increased from 847,725 in Nov, 2017*. These are offenders who have been caught, convicted, served their time and are now living among us. This number does not include child molesters who are currently serving time in prison. Also, the FBI estimates that only 10-40% of sex crimes are ever reported, which means there are millions of sex offenders living in the United States, many of whom have never been reported – or caught, or convicted.
*Source: Map of Registered Sex Offenders living in the United States and its territories, Prepared by the Records and Access Unit, May 30, 2018, National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
How do child molesters gain access to their victims?
While some sexual abuse is purely opportunistic, most children are groomed and lured into situations where they are vulnerable to abuse. Common grooming strategies include:
Befriending parents, particularly single parents, to gain access to their children.
Offering babysitting services to busy parents or guardians.
Taking jobs and participating in community events that involve children.
Becoming a guardian or foster parent.
Attending sporting events for children.
Offering to coach children’s sports.
Volunteering in youth organizations.

How do sex offenders lure kids online?
Internet predators use the same Lures online that are used offline. They typically target uninformed and unsuspecting youngsters to engage in virtual relationships by luring them with flattery, attention and feelings of being close to an online friend. In essence, the Affection Lure, Friendship Lure and Ego Lure are being used online. Lonely, neglected, confused and risk-taking adolescents are most vulnerable. The risk increases if they share intimate images of themselves or have inappropriate conversations.
The internet predator becomes a more serious threat when they obtain a youngster’s personal information (i.e. full name, phone number, address, school, sports team), convinces them to send inappropriate images, or manages to arrange a private, in-person meeting. Youth who have shared too much personal information or agreed to in-person meetings without adult supervision have been robbed, assaulted and sexually abused. Cyber predators who convince youngsters to share intimate pictures or video often use blackmail to get more images. This is known as sextortion, which is increasingly being uncovered by law enforcement.
Children and teens are still more likely to be sexually exploited (in person or virtually) by someone they know, including a peer, than by an Internet Predator. This is why it’s important to remind kids to limit how much personal information they share with everyone, to keep passwords PRIVATE (even from friends) and to never send inappropriate images to anyone.
How else do child molesters use the Internet?
Since the dawn of the Internet, child molesters around the globe have used it to share beliefs and experiences, even descriptions, names and images of children they have abused. Now, the Dark Web is where they “socialize,” as well as share and sell child pornography, easily produced with cell phone cameras and sometimes even shown in real time.
It is essential for parents to teach children and teens that they must not ask for, nor provide, nude or semi-nude photos. Ever. Many sexted images children and teens have been pressured into sending (or send “to be funny”) end up in the child porn collections of American and International sexual predators. Despite law enforcement’s best efforts, it is next to impossible to get child pornography images out of circulation on the web.
How do child molesters target their victims?
Early grooming efforts by sexual predators seek to determine if the child has a stable home life, or if the family is facing challenges like poverty, divorce, illness, drugs, homelessness, etc. Children lacking stability at home are at higher risk for sexual abuse, as there is usually more access to the child and opportunities to abuse the child.
Child molesters will also target kids who are loners, or who look troubled or neglected. Youngsters who smoke, vape or use drugs and alcohol are seen as risk-seekers lacking adequate supervision, and therefore easy targets. Single moms are often targeted, as they are more likely to be overwhelmed by parenting duties and vulnerable to offers to babysit and/or drive kids to school, practices, lessons and other activities.
Which age group is most often targeted by child molesters?
While all children are vulnerable, approximately 20% of child sexual abuse occurs with children under 5 years of age; 50% with kids between 5-12 years old; and 30% occurs with teens between 13-17 years of age. Parents and guardians can help keep their children safe by talking frankly and often to their children about “the birds and the bees.” At the very least, teach your child, preferably beginning at birth, anatomically-correct names for their private body parts (buttocks, anus, chest, breasts, vulva, vagina, penis and scrotum). Child molesters have admitted they are less likely to abuse children who have a basic understanding of sex education, including knowledge of the proper names for private body parts.
Some child molesters cite a preference for children on the brink of puberty. This is the age of sexual awakening, making it easy for molesters to prey on the sexual ignorance and curiosity of youngsters. To quote one sex offender, “Give me a kid who knows nothing about sex, and you’ve given me my next victim.”
When and where do most sexual assaults usually happen?
With incidents involving juvenile offenders, 1 in 7 sexual assaults occurs on schooldays between 3pm-7pm, with a peak from 3-4pm, right after school. This speaks to the importance of safe after-school care and close supervision of multi-age groups of youngsters.
Most child sexual abuse occurs in the home of the victim, the home of the offender, or another residence.** 81% of all child sexual abuse occurs in one-on-one situations: one-offender/one-child. Wherever youth are physically or virtually alone with someone is a potential place where they can be subjected to sexual misconduct or abuse.
Wouldn’t a vigilant parent be able to detect a child molester, just by their actions?
Not necessarily. Most child molesters are expert at getting children and families to trust them. Many target their victims and attempt to involve themselves in the child’s life, including their family, school, house of worship, sports, and hobbies. They are often the first to offer to babysit or drive your child to activities. Child molesters will smile at you, look you right in the eye and make you believe they are trustworthy.
Why is it that most victims do NOT tell someone about their abuse, or attempted abuse?
There are many reasons why 9 in 10 children do not tell about being sexually abused. Because the abuser is often a family member, the child may be dependent on their abuser for basics like food and shelter. They may still love the abuser and not want to get them in trouble, or they may fear breaking up the family. They may have been threatened not to tell, so they are afraid.
Many survivors of sexual abuse feel embarrassment, shame and a sense of guilt over what happened. They may mistakenly believe they are somehow responsible, that they did something to make the abuse happen. Other kids, especially boys, are afraid parents will over-react or restrict their freedom, so they keep quiet. However, child sexual abuse is NEVER a child’s fault. Think First & Stay Safe and Teen Lures TV Newscast curricula teach children and teens that All Secrets Can Be Told. Program evaluations document that children are more willing to tell about grooming behaviors, attempted abuse and sexual abuse after learning either or both curricula in school.
How then, do we protect our children?
Starting at birth, teach children the medical terms for private body parts. (Chest, breasts, buttocks or butt, vulva, vagina, penis and testicles.) Teach children that private parts are just that – private. Assure children of their own rights, that they are the boss of their own body, and they get to choose whether or not anyone can hug, kiss or touch them. Respect children’s privacy and personal space, and teach them to respect the privacy and personal space of others.
Children need to learn that no one has the right to touch, look at or photograph the private parts of their body, nor ask them to look at or touch the private parts of another. Anyone who tries is breaking the law. Tell your children that all secrets can be told, especially secrets they have been told to keep or have been keeping for a long time. Help your child choose two trusted adults, one at home and one at school, to whom they can tell anything.
If a person or situation gives you or your child a funny feeling in the belly, act upon those feelings. Don’t allow your child to be alone with such persons or go alone into such situations. Gut feelings are rarely wrong.
The VIP (Very Important Person) Factor
While there are many reasons victims don’t tell, the “VIP Factor” is a significant reason why sexual crimes against children have continued for generations. These “Very Important Persons” (VIPs) are well-known local leaders in our schools, athletic and civic organizations, houses of worship, healthcare and business communities. Some are VIPs on the state or national level, in the educational, legal, military, corporate, media, higher education and political worlds. They have power and money, and they have imposed a culture of silence that few dare attempt to confront.
For example, at Penn State University, Assistant Coach Jerry Sandusky (who ran a non-profit organization for disadvantaged youth) used nine of the 16 Child Lures to entrap and sexually exploit his many young victims: 1. Affection, 2. Assistance, 3. Authority, 4. Bribery, 5. Games, 6. Hero, 7. Job, 8. Threats & Weapons and 9. Drugs.
Four of the victims were assaulted during sleepovers with Sandusky, a common tactic of sex offenders. As in many cases of child sexual abuse, the children were threatened not to disclose and were told, “No one will believe you.” As is usually the case, the child victims believed their offender.
Other VIPs within Penn State University were aware of inappropriate behaviors by Sandusky, but did nothing to stop, report or prevent his crimes against vulnerable children.
May all victims and survivors of sexual abuse/assault find the safety and justice they need so healing can begin.
Child molesters are family members, relatives, neighbors, coaches, teachers, preachers, friends and our children’s peers. Knowing this – and knowing that adults cannot be with children every moment of every day – it is essential to talk openly with children about personal boundaries and personal safety. Teach children, age-appropriately, how to recognize and evade the lures used for generations by sexual predators of every kind.
Thankfully, both children and adults are beginning to more readily report sexual abuse and harassment, saying boldly and loudly that these crimes are no longer acceptable. This long-overdue cultural shift to intolerance of sexual assault and harassment will hopefully shift attention to the dire need to prevent child sexual abuse through awareness and education.
By teaching positive health-promoting norms, attitudes, values, beliefs and behaviors, beginning in Pre-Kindergarten and continuing through high school and beyond, a culture of kindness, mutual respect and personal safety can be cultivated and maintained.
