All the hours that go into building a website and E-Commerce sites is endless. The first 30 days are the most crucial. That is where you build your identity with your logo and products.
Before you build your store or site online you need to enter all the data into excel or which ever program you use, documents and forms can be made, and Images placed into an excel form. If there is one thing I would like to recommend is to make all your work on your PC or MAC first. Continue to do your updates on all products and documents on your PC and import the files to your store or Website.
If you are going to have a store make sure that the website or store hosting Company allows you to export and import files in a few different formats.

People have paid good money for an Online Store or website to be hosted by some large companies just to be disappointed with the features, or lack of.
For example, GoDaddy does not allow EXPORT of your product files from your store. Its called Proprietary Software Systems or just JUNK Builder Hosts.
Proprietary software, also known as “closed-source software”, is a non-free computer software for which the software’s publisher or another person retains intellectual property rights—usually copyright of the source code, but sometimes patent rights. Rights to pictures and files that you created.
Some examples of proprietary software include Microsoft Windows, iTunes, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Flash Player, DELL, Hewlett Packard, APPLE and many more.

As a hosted website builder, there are inherent disadvantages that GoDaddy shares with even direct competitors such as Wix and Weebly. To provide maximum convenience, most features are heavily limited. You also don’t have access to your files on your server, along with other convenience and control trade-offs.

I really thought GoDaddy would have had better features then WordPress… I have learned through my own mistakes and reading interviews that GoDaddy is over priced and has very little features for E-Commerce store fronts. CSV File EXPORT does not exists on the GoDaddy Store platform.
I recently had a live Chat session with the go Daddy reps. The first chat the person suggested I download a program from chrome called “Export GoDaddy Products”. Gave me a website link that looked more like an affiliate code and told me to go there. $29.99 was a monthly charge for me to export CSV store files. Once I found this out I contacted GoDaddy Chat again and this is the response I received.

I called GoDaddy and reported this chat. I also asked is there no way for me to Export my Files. He said there was no way. The Ecommerce Stores platform did not have those features and he does not know why I received that link. He sees the first chat in the history. Unfortunately I did not copy the first chat for you to see. It seemed to me the Rep I was speaking with really wasn’t concerned that someone is sending Affiliate links while answering GoDaddy Chat Session on GoDaddy Support line.
My Question is how much control does GoDaddy have over there Chat Support Teams. Another concern I have with their security. Sending affiliate links in chats, unless GoDaddy really does have knowledge of these links.. Money is the bottom line for these companies. The chat person see’s all your information. They have your Pin Numbers and customer numbers.
I don’t know if the CEO’s forgot and left GoDaddy “as is” to die off as they made WordPress into one of the finest website hosts. The features are absolutely awesome on WordPress.com
As Far as I am considered GoDaddy is my LAST CHOICE for recommendation….
Register.com or WordPress.com are the leaders you can Export your files from both those platforms. They have several features and improve their platforms to be the best on the market. But it seems everyone is joined at the hip in some way. So you are pretty much at their mercy unless you host yourself.
